Application Instructions

PLEASE Read through these step by step instructions completely prior to starting your install.

Two people may be required for installation, especially for larger Wall Splatz™. The Wall Splatz™ material is a durable no-tear material, and can be repositioned; however keeping the material flat will make the installation much easier.

1. Remove your Wall Splat™ from the shipping container, and unroll it. Flatten your Wall Splat™ on a flat surface for 45 minutes.

2. Pick a large enough location to fit your Wall Splat. Clean the wall surface with a water only, and allow the wall to completely dry. Heavily textured walls may not allow the best adhesion, however a perfectly smooth wall is not required. Applying in a warm room may help with adhesion on some textured surfaces. Do not use solvent chemicals for cleaning or preparing the wall.

3. Smaller Wall Splatz™ may be removed from the backing material, and placed on the wall by starting at the middle of the Wall Splat™ and working your way out with your hand, smoothing out bubbles as you go. If you run into a bubble or fold, peel back your Wall Splat™ to the problem area, and re-apply. You may also want to keep the backing material so you can remove your Wall Splat™ and store it for reapplication at a later date. Rolling your Wall Splat™ and storing it in a plastic bag or tube will help it to stay looking good, clean, and dry.

4. Two people are recommended for installation, especially on larger Wall Splatz™.

5. For larger Wall Splatz™, start by pulling the top 4 inches away from the backing and folding the backing down against itself. Place the Wall Splat™ against the wall without letting the top 4 inches adhere to the wall until you have positioned the Wall Splat™ where you want it, flat against the wall. Adhere the top 4 inches against the wall by pressing with your hand, working from the middle and working out. After you have secured the top 4 inches, reach behind the Wall Splat, and slowly pull the backing down while pushing the Wall Splat™ against the wall as the adhesive is exposed.

6. If during the installation your Wall Splat™ sticks to itself, you can gently pull the fabric pieces apart and continue installation.

7.REMEMBER, the great thing about the Wall Splatz™ material is its ability to be repositioned. This means if you make a mistake, pull it off and try again.
